the original 1908 Teddy bear, an inspirited character who resides at the
Puppenhausmuseum, Basel, Steiff
have captured his every detail resulting in a true and faultless replica
- a bear that embodies all the magical ingredients of Steiff. His black
button eyes overflow with expression and his nose, mouth and claws are
hand embroidered. With a traditional growler inside he is stuffed using
fine wood shavings. His limbs are elegantly shaped and a face so finely
modelled. Featuring proudly the gold-plated "Button in Ear" the Bristish
Collectors' Teddy Bear 2002 celebrates the epitome of Steiff.
